Offered for sale is a very nice example of the "No. 326 White City Time Lock Puzzle Safe " cast iron bank. It dates sometime between 1893 (it was introduced as a memento of the Chicago World's Fair) by Nicol & Co. Manufacturers of Chicago, IL, and measures approximately 4 1/4" high x 2 3/4" wide x 2 3/4" deep. It is in very good condition, and though it has some play wear and areas that have dicolored, there are no breaks, cracks, or other damage, and no repairs, and it retains most of its original nickel finish.. The locking mechanism would originally have been a cylindrical thumbscrew, but it has been replaced at some point with the one it has now (which works well). This bank does not often come up for sale (it's rated "A” in Holz's "The Safe Bank Book"), so don't miss the opportunity to purchase this nice example.
