This is a vintage Siam sterling silver and niello bypass ring, depicting Dancing Angel and Mekkala, characters from the Thai legend Ramakien
Vintage SIAM Niello Dancing Angel And Mekkala Sterling Silver Ring Size 5. This vintage ca. 1940's ring has an open design featuring Mekkala(h), the Goddess of Lightning with lightning bolts coming from her hand and the Dancing Angel holding a long curved garland behind her back. Niello refers to a hand carved design technique, that uses a black enamel-like substance that consists of sulphur, copper, silver and lead. These pieces are usually made with high-grade silver, as is this.
It is a size 5 but does adjust, as it is a true bypass ring.
