Vintage Shafford ceramic Christmas tree music box made in Japan in the 1950's by the Shafford Co. Turning the tree winds the music box, which then plays Jingle Bells. The white ceramic tree is decorated with red, green and gold highlights and sits on a base that is painted with red and green stripes. On one side of the tree is the mother wearing a red dress trimmed in white fur, and on the opposite side is a little boy wearing blue long-johns. The tree turns while the music plays, but as is typical for this particular music box, the tree leans a bit off of perpendicular. Overall, the music box is in good used vintage condition and makes a nice addition to your Christmas decorations.
