Vintage Carved Bakelite-Style Phenolic Resin Belt Buckle Art Deco Butterscotch

Vintage carved belt buckle in a warm butterscotch tone, featuring deep diagonal ribbed carving and a two-piece hinged design. This style and material are commonly associated with early phenolic plastics such as Bakelite or Catalin; however, this piece has not been chemically tested and is therefore being sold as Bakelite-style phenolic resin.

The buckle is constructed in two sections with original metal hardware and rear belt bars. The belt loop opening measures approximately ¾ inch, making it suitable for narrower belts or ribbon-style straps.

Condition:
Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. There are small surface nicks on the front, consistent with use and age. The metal on the back shows tarnish and discoloration, and the reverse has minor marks typical of vintage hardware. All hardware appears intact and functional.

This is a beautiful statement accessory and a desirable collectible style for vintage lovers, early plastic collectors, or Art Deco / MCM enthusiasts.
