Vintage 60-70’s H. Bequet Belgium Peacock Trinket Box Hand-Painted Teal & Gold

Elegant vintage ceramic trinket box by H. Bequet of Quaregnon, Belgium – hand-painted in rich teal with ornate gold accents & a stylized peacock motif. Estimated production era: mid-to-late 1960s to early 1970s, based on known Bequet catalog styles & glaze techniques.
The lid lifts to reveal a glossy cream interior. There’s a tiny spot of missing paint on the inner rim (only visible when open), & some gentle wear to the gold detailing consistent with age, both could be touched up if desired. No chips or cracks noted.
Measures approx. 3.5” tall with lid; 4.5” wide.

Hubert Bequet was a self-taught Belgian ceramicist who founded his own faience studio in 1934 and became known for richly glazed, gold-accented decorative pieces.
