Delighted to be offering this sensational true vintage 1950’s rich black velvet wrap, full swing opera dinner coat.
This is made of a beautiful soft, thick velvet (not crushed velvet) the lining is the same soft white fabric, extra wide 9-inch collar, three-quarter bell sleeves that have an inside white satin elastic cuff, two pockets, no closure wrap style, midi length, this has an old LIGWU label (International ladies garment worker union). I believe this is going to fit in medium size but please refer to the actual measurements below for a proper fit –
-40 inch bust (measuring inside armpit to armpit)
-approximately 15-inch inch shoulder point to shoulder point
-19-inch sleeve (9-1/2” diameter)
-free waist and hip
-37-inch length
Excellent true vintage condition, very faint storage spot on the inside of the lining, no other stains, hole's or tears, this fabric is super strong and just gorgeous ready for many more years of wear.
