Southwestern Folk Art - Lightning Rod Ball - Native American - Beadwork

With my background in antiques & early glass, I was inspired to make this custom décor item. I started out with a cool – 100 year old rooftop lightning rod ball - in mint condition. It is a pleasing turquoise blue milkglass & there is swirling lines throughout the old glass. The openings are just the way they made them…sheared off & a little rough on the edge. (no damage or chips). The bottom opening is the same as the one on top...the gold looking band was just used to stand the ball. A beaded rosette displays proud on the front, & soft leather & beads complete the Southwestern feel. This antique roof ornament stands 5 1/8” tall & is 4 ½” wide at the center.
