Beautiful handmade blue Rumbough bowl with lid, crafted in a soft blue-periwinkle glaze. The bowl features five carved fish encircling the sides and is topped with a hand-formed fish finial.
Bowl is 2” high without the lid on - 5-1/2” to the tail tip with the lid on and 5” in diameter.
The maker’s name is incised “Rumbough” with a two stroke identification mark underneath that appears to read “M2” or “Mz”. The glaze shifts between blue, purple, and periwinkle while the fish are a deeper aqua tone. You can see and feel the subtle throwing ridges around the bowl, and the entire piece has a smooth, glossy finish.
A wonderful piece for anyone who loves handmade studio pottery; it displays beautifully and brings a touch of coastal whimsy to any space.
