This doll is the original Samantha Parkington from the American Girl line of historical characters. This doll is the white-body version which is the first version that was released. Her dress is dated 1986 and the doll was purchased new in either 1989 or 1990. She has the Pleasant Company stamp on the base of her neck. Her hair is coming out in several places, which can be seen in image #5. She would probably need to be rewigged. This set includes her entire meet outfit: black Mary Jane shoes, white bloomers, black ribbed tights, gingham dress, and a matching hair ribbon. Other than the hair all of the other items and body of the doll are in excellent condition. Kept in a smoke-free home.
