The pen tip has a 4-stage taper加工 to brighten the area around the tip and allow for even more precise writing. The processing involves: ① shaving the φ10mm barrel (body) down to φ8.8mm, ② shaving this down to φ4.8mm with a gentle Fuji-shaped (reverse arc) process, ③ further shaving it down to φ3.4mm, and ④ again shaving it to φ1.6mm in a Fuji shape. This minimizes the pen obstructing the paper surface, improving visibility.
This precise processing is achieved by using a metal shaft for the approximately 50mm front shaft from the pen tip to the grip and applying the above-mentioned taper processing through machining. General mechanical pencils have a separate part called the "nozzle," but this has been integrated to pursue the ideal shape. This also eliminates looseness and wobbling of the pen tip. Furthermore, the weight of the metal creates a low center of gravity, providing a stable writing feel.
