Lovely Chinoiserie Peacock Hand Painted 8” Vintage Display Bowl

This unusual display shallow bowl features hand painted floral decoration with a peacock and peonies at the center, all of which are executed in classic palette of blues on a light grey back ground. The face of the bowl is slightly curved and gives way to canted shoulders terminating in a decorative scalloped rim. The back is signed with Asian symbols.

The bowl is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The bowl measures 8” in diameter.

This elegant peacock and floral motif decorative bowl displays beautifully and would be a wonderful addition to a flow blue/chinoiserie collection, works equally well as a stand alone decorative accent. The piece can be hung on a wall or placed in an easel on a table or shelf. A lovely and distinctive find!
