Excellent pre-owned condition Tortoise sunglasses by Legendary fashion designer Kansai Yamamoto was one of the leaders in Japanese Contemporary fashion, in particular during the 1970s and 1980s. His style was highly influential on contemporary designers like Kenzo, Opening Ceremony, Jean Paul Gaultier, Alessandro Michele and many other current designers. He created David Bowie's outrageous jumpsuit as well as the Ziggy Stardust Tour outfit.
In the mid 1980s, Kansai Yamamoto created some of the most elaborate eyewear creations of the era. The very rare KY13GP combines a classic shape of timeless elegance with gold metal details. A retro futuristic club master, half spaceship, half dandy. I A true piece of art and eyewear history. Very easy to wear and pleasant on the face.
Made in Japan in the 1980s.
