"Take This Job And Shove It" was Johnny Paycheck's breakthrough single, reaching #1 on the charts and briefly entering the Billboard "Pop" charts. It was a unique and catchy song for anyone wanting to express those sentiments to their boss or company. Johnny's only other chart record was the follow-up, "...Friend, Don't Take Her - She's All I Got," which reached the Top-10. The song was released in 1973 when I was a country DJ in Louisville and had the opportunity to interview Johnny backstage at the Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry.
