The Canon EF 28mm f/1.8 USM is a fast versatile wide angle lens prime lens for Canon Full Frame 35mm format EOS SLR Cameras. The ultra bright f/1.8 maximum aperture lets in more than twice as much light as more common f/2.8 lens options; in addition to making available light viewing easier and enabling faster shutter speeds, the large aperture design allows a bit more background blur. The lens produces a fairly wide 75° angle of view practical for a broad range of applications. The EF 28mm f/1.8 uses a high quality optical design of 10 SSC (Super Spectra Coating) multi-coated elements in 9 groups including one aspherical aspherical element that makes superb images possible.
