Vintage Limoges France white, porcelain, miniature plate brooch with painted clipper ship.
This antique Limoges, France porcelain brooch pin features a hand painted, decorative gold edge and a transfer print scene of what appears to be a Victorian era, clipper ship on the open water.
The round, scalloped edge brooch, dating back to around the 1930s or possibly 1940’s, is secured to its backing with gold tone metal and a trombone clasp.
The brooch is in very good condition albeit some age related wear to the gold, painted edge in one area.
The back is signed with “Limoges France”. The brooch’s delightful miniature plate design makes it a unique piece for any occasions or as a thoughtful gift for any vintage jewelry enthusiast.
