This is a rare & incredibly gorgeous early Victorian brooch by silversmith Edwards & Ball of Birmingham, UK. I cannot find any record of any other pieces similar to this still existing from this maker. It has a makers mark but no full hallmark so has been tested to verify metal content, and it came directly from an estate in England. I've narrowed down the date to most likely being circa 1840s and it has lovely yellow gold accents around the scalloped edges.
