This is a pair of Jefferson Glass Company No. 400 opalescent glasses. Introduced in 1904, Jefferson Glass changed the name from No. 400 to iris with meander, or iris and meander, or fleur de lis because another company was selling a pattern called No. 400. You can see the fleur de lis and the iris running around the base. They have the white opalescent top edges familiar to Jefferson Glass, and a starburst pattern in the bottom. They are approximately 3 3/4” tall and 3” in diameter. These are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or flea bites. There are the usual bubbles in the glass, indicative of their age.
