This interesting ancient Roman coin dates to the reign of Constantine the Great. The small copper follis (a Late Empire coin of little monetary value) has been converted into a necklace. The coin's obverse depicts Constantine I as a draped and cuirassed right-facing bust, wearing a floral diadem. The legend appears to read "CONSTANTINVS MAX AVG" which translates indirectly to "Constantine the Great". The coin's reverse depicts two soldiers standing on either side of a Roman standard. It is inscribed "GLORIA EXERCITVS" which translates to "Dedicated to the Glory of the Army". This Late Roman Empire coin was in circulat
