First edition, first printing hardcover copy of American Gods by Neil Gaiman (William Morrow, 2001). True first edition of this instant classic fantasy / science fiction novel, and the basis for the tv series of the same name. Jacket now protected in new archival sleeve but with rubbing/scuffing to faces and shelf wear around the edges - including some creases, chipping and small tears. Boards are straight and clean but with corners bumped. Text block slightly curved towards top of book, but spine remains fairly straight and binding firm. A few instances of margin notes and underlining. See photos for condition.
