Two small vintage picture prints in PAT. NO. 1914951 picture frames. There are two different prints in each of the picture photos. These frames were patent in 1933. The frames are 5 1/2 inches wide, 4 inches tall and less than 1/2 inch depth.
One print is The Gleaner. The Gleaners is an oil painting by Jean-François Millet completed in 1857. It depicts three peasant women gleaning a field of stray stalks of wheat after the harvest.
The other print is The Angelus. The Angelus is an oil painting by French painter Jean-François Millet, completed between 1857 and 1859. The painting depicts two peasants bowing in a field over a basket of potatoes to say a prayer, the Angelus, that together with the ringing of the bell from the church on the horizon marks the end of a day's work.
