1716 Duchy of Lorraine silver Teston Jerusalem Shield of Leopold I choice AU - KM#96 This stunning 29mm choice AU bright lustrous Teston coin was minted in .734 silver purity and struck over the KM# 95 type with some detail of that design visible. Even Lorraine was simply a Duchy, the Duke Leopold I wore the title of King on his coins, claiming himself heir of Godefroy of Bouillon, former King of Jerusalem. This explains the use of a shield of Jerusalem on the reverse. Obverse: Head facing right of the Duke.
